Welcoming, Expansive and Affordable

California City, was built by visionaries who saw the full potential of this high desert oasis, long before others could imagine the possibilities. Early developers envisioned a master planned community surrounding an expansive central park with lake, golf courses and civic center. This thriving central core of the state’s third largest city in land area stands as testament to the grand entrepreneurial spirit which created our region.

We are within a two hour drive of world class museums, entertainment, shopping and beaches to the south, or the incredible High Sierras to the north. One of the gems of the state park system is just twenty minutes to the north. California City, with its clean air and water, low traffic, low cost of living and endless vistas, recreation and nature outside the backdoor, is an amazing place to live and conduct business in.

Embracing the Cannabis Industry - After months of community input, well-crafted medical cannabis ordinances were added to the city’s municipal code. This new, legalized industry in CA will bring cultivation and manufacturing, processing, transportation, security, research and other support businesses to the City. In turn, creating jobs, driving infrastructure improvements and expansion as well as significant tax revenue that will be recirculated throughout the City again and again.

The influx of businesses and industry moving to California City is spurring the construction business. Homes are being built, ground has been broken on several production and grow facilities, and a shopping center is under construction.

Did you know?

California City, where there is room to exhale!

We are in the middle of two state parks, Red Rock Canyon and Tomo-Kahni.
The closest park, just 17 miles to the north via Neuralia Road, is Red Rock Canyon. Red Rock has something to offer anyone. Drive up to or take a serious hike to the amazing cliffs and rock formations that have been shaped by time. No matter what time of year you visit, there is desert life to discover.

California City provides a slower pace of living and is less than two hours away from Los Angeles.

South, within roughly an hour drive, in the Antelope Valley, are four parks to choose from.

California City is the home of the Desert Tortoise Natural Area. Desert Tortoises find refuge in this reserve and emerge from their burrows in spring and fall. While visiting follow interpretive trails to learn about the plants and animals that make our desert home.

With the California dry weather, there is year round play a round at the par 72 Tierra del Sol course or at the Par 3.
