January 24 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
MOJAVE —An opportunity for Mojave residents and businesses to share their views on traffic needs in the community will lead the agenda at the Mojave Chamber of Commerce’s January 24 noon meeting at the Mariah Comfort Inn.
Chamber President Doug Clipperton said representatives of the Kern Council of Governments (KernCog) will be present to gather suggestions on how transportation can be improved in Mojave and Southeast Kern.
“This will be an excellent opportunity for us to share our views with representatives of the organization that coordinates transportation funding in Kern County,” Clipperton said.
The major transportation project planned for 2019 will be construction of a new Transit Center at Mono and K Streets. The project is currently being re-bid by county officials.

Unincorporated cities like Mojave, Boron, and Rosamond are represented on the KernCOG board by a county supervisors.
Clipperton said the chamber “works closely with Kern COG staff to discuss traffic issues in our community.”
