Lancaster, Calif. – Antelope Valley College will host a Cybersecurity Forum in the Antelope Valley College Performing Arts Theatre on Thursday, September 28 from 1 to 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
The Cybersecurity Forum is designed to inform and educate the greater Antelope Valley community and local businesses on information technology safety and best practices. Panel experts will share information on cyber strategy planning, information security, risk management and security assessments. Discussion will include the risks individuals and business face with information, the computer systems and communication devices.
Additionally, students interested in Cybersecurity professions will learn about career opportunities and educational pathways. Topics covered include cybersecurity course development, cyber-Patriot competitions, and work placement of I.T. and information security majors.
