Members of the Antelope Valley Transportation Authority and Supervisor Antonovich joined community leaders to celebrate the launch of two all new electric buses manufactured by BYD in Lancaster.

Both of the buses are capable of traveling over 170 miles on a single charge and carry up to 120 passengers. The “Lancaster,” BYD’s largest electric bus, traveled over 1,500 miles to the 2014 American Public Transportation Associations Expo in Houston, Texas, under its own power while making 10 stops along the way to recharge. BYD buses are setting the industry standard by producing some of the most efficient long-range buses available on the market.
