Mojave, CA – The Greater Antelope Valley Economic Alliance (GAVEA) will host its quarterly Investor and Ally Event on Thursday, June 15th from 11 am -1 pm. The event will highlight some of Mojave’s premier business and technological advances as well as the positive economic impact made on the region. Included in our annual event, too, is the election of our board of directors.
Mojave is undeniably the technology epicenter of the Antelope Valley. Mojave Air and Space Port has amassed more first flights and significant newsworthy flight activity than any other airport in the world over the past fifteen years. The airport is home to more than 65 companies engaged in flight development to highly advanced aerospace design, flight test and research and even heavy rail industrial manufacturing. Just south of the airport is the newly operational Golden Queen Mine, bringing 21st century mining techniques back to the region as well.
The event will feature speakers from the Mojave Airport, National Test Pilot School, The Space Ship Company, and Golden Queen Mine. GAVEA’s President, Kimberly Maevers said “When you look at our regional map, Mojave is the center of our universe! This event is an opportunity for our business leaders and allies to learn more about what’s happening in Mojave”.
The lunchtime event will take place on Thursday, June 15th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Mariah County Inn and Suites. The event is open to the public and tickets can be purchased at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/mojave-the-tech-epicenter-of-the-antelope-valley-tickets-33864016184/ GAVEA Investors rate is $20 and $29 for non-investors.
