Lancaster, CA – The Greater Antelope Valley Economic Alliance (GAVEA) will host its quarterly Investor and Ally Event on Thursday, September 28th from 11 AM – 1 PM. The event will highlight some of challenges and opportunities the region’s housing market is facing.
Confirmed speakers include David Smith, 412 Test Wing, Sr. Installation Support Director (EAFB) on housing affordability and how it affects our military assets; Brian Ludicke, Planning Director at City of Lancaster, will discuss what’s in the housing planning pipeline; Jill Furtado, President of LACBOR and local Realtor will discuss state legislation that may affect housing; and Kirk Hartley, Wells Fargo Mortgage will discuss housing affordability and its impact on consumer demand and choices.
Kimberly Maevers, President of the Greater Antelope Valley Economic Alliance said, “Housing is a hot topic for our region and it’s important that we educate our business leaders on the demand for and access to housing for the workforce. As we continue to expand and recruit wealth creating jobs to the region, we must ensure the employers that the workforce can afford to live close to their jobs.”
