Expanding to meet the needs of the Antelope Valley
Grand Opening Antelope Valley Community Clinic (AVCC) is proud to announce the opening of a new 6,000 sq. ft. facility in East Palmdale. The clinic is the result of a huge demand for additional services in the eastern part of the Antelope Valley.
“We will bring primary care services closer to the communities of Sun Village, Littlerock, Lake Los Angeles and East Palmdale, and will continue to work closely with Palmdale Regional Medical Center and Antelope Valley Hospital to meet the healthcare needs of the underserved,” says Jim Cook, Founder, and CEO.
Since 2007 AVCC has grown from 1 mobile clinic and five staff to providing over 110,000 visits to over 35,000 unduplicated patients in 2016, with 230 staff, 35 providers, two mobile clinics and now three brick and mortar facilities. The new clinic wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of our supporters; “We would like to thank our partners, including LA Care, Kaiser Permanente, High Desert Medical Group and Community Family Care for their continued support,” says Cook.
AVCC now provides comprehensive services for all ages including adult and pediatric primary care, dental care, mental health, specialty including cardiology, endocrinology, dermatology, podiatry, chronic and disease management, substance abuse, diabetic disease management as well as other support services. Both our Lancaster and Palmdale clinics are at capacity, and the new clinic opening June 12, will initially provide primary care to both adults and children; eventually expanding to include mental health services and substance abuse counseling.
The new Antelope Valley Community Clinic facility is located at 37926 47th St East in Palmdale. For more information, please visit our website www.avclinic.org. 661-942-2391 ext. 422 or visit our website avclinic.org.
